Junior Lifeguard Club
Get ready for an exciting new chapter of JLC! This year, our program is part of a groundbreaking national movement to recognize Junior lifeguarding as a sport – and your child can be part of it!
Open to youth ages 10 to 14, this pilot program blends fun, fitness, and lifesaving education. Participants will develop their skills across three key branches of the sport:
- Beach Flags – Speed, strategy, and agility in a thrilling beachside sprint
- Swimming Rescue Skills – Strengthen lifesaving techniques in the water
- Craft Skills – Learn to maneuver rescue boards and other essential equipment
Alongside these sport-focused activities, children will also gain valuable knowledge in basic first aid and lifesaving skills, laying the foundation for future lifeguarding courses and waterfront safety.
Come join the wave of future lifeguards and discover the sport of saving lives!
Participants meet at the Lifeguard Tower for classes that run twice a week for four weeks from noon – 1pm.
Choose from Monday/Thursday or Tuesday/Friday classes starting the weeks of June 30 or July 28.
Please be aware that August classes are a repeat of July.
Participants should be strong swimmers.
Fee: $65
