Welcome, CBSCers to Summer 2023!

Yesterday was an amazingly successful registration day! Thanks to the registration team, they make the day go seamlessly. Now we can all breathe a collective sigh of relief and summer can officially begin.

First, let’s give a big round of applause to each of you for being part of this fantastic volunteer-run community. Your dedication and support are what have made our club thrive for 105 summers. We are a group of members that pitch in and get our hands dirty when we need to, with a history to prove it.

Second, make sure to read the weekly eSeahorses as they always contain important event info, deadlines and club happenings.

As we start another epic summer together, we want to remind everyone to take care of our cherished CBSC, a place many of us consider a second home.

We’ve invested in our facilities so they can last for generations to come, and we want to keep them looking sparkly and nice. Let’s continue to keep the club looking as good as the first day the new pool opened. So please clean up after yourself, and your kids. Better yet, get your kids to do it! We’re all about teaching independence here. As a volunteer-run club, our strength lies in the collective efforts of YOU. Connect with Kerri at volunteer@cbswimclub.ca to join our volunteer list for upcoming opportunities.

Remember, this is our shared space—a place where we gather to (re)connect, and create lasting memories. Let’s continue to make CBSC a place to be proud of!

Beach Fires

Since the spring, the Crescent Beach Fires Working Group have been tackling a growing number of beach fires in the area that have grown out of control and resulted in damage to our beach. An out-of-control beach fire can have dire consequences for our beautiful beach. With another dry summer coming up, please know that beach fires are banned. Keep the Fire Non-Emergency Number 604-543-6700 in your community contact info, so that you can report any fires you come across.

Wristbands

Don’t forget to wear your GREEN wristbands all summer long at events and lessons so we can spot our members and keep everyone safe.

Weekly eSeahorses will be sent out throughout the next 8 weeks, so make sure to read them for important updates and information. You can also follow us on IG (Instagram) @swmCBSC and FB @CrescentBeachSwimmingClub for posts (links below). Also, tag your own photos with #CBSC2023
