Fun in the Sun
The last week of lessons for July is fast upon us! Soak in all the fun this week.
Swim and Tennis Fun Days!
Get ready for July FUN DAY! The Theme this month is FARM! Dress up in costume and join your coaches in your regular lesson for candy and surprises!
Fun Days will take place on Thursday, July 27, Friday, July 28, and Saturday, July 29 during your last July lesson!
August Lessons Start on Monday, July 31
Are you considering a change in your family’s August lesson schedule? Any refund requests for withdrawing from a program must be received in the office two business days prior to the start of a lesson. The deadline to withdraw from August lessons that begin on Monday, July 31 is 9am on Thursday, July 27. A $10 Administration fee will be applied to all withdrawals. Please come in person to the office or email: info@cbswimclub.ca.
SWIMMING
U10, U12, and U14 Water Polo Tournament
Wednesday, July 26th
CBSC will be hosting our annual water polo tournament for teams across the Lower Mainland. Come out and support the CBSC Seahorses as they compete against eight of the best clubs in water polo. The coaches have been preparing the athletes to be able to handle up to four games in the one day tournament. With the great participation numbers in our club, we will be the only club entering up to 3 teams in each age level! Unfortunately, Family Swim will be cancelled with the tournament occurring from noon-8:00pm. Adult and Child Tournament
Sunday July 23rd starting at 9 AM
Calling all tennis enthusiasts, young and old! Join us for the Adult (17+) and Child (16 & under) tennis tournament this weekend. Open to all CBSC Members, sign up through Activenent. Rules will be emailed to participants. Send any questions to Head Coaches Courtney and Emma hctennis@cbswimclub.ca

- 9:00 – 10:30 – 8 and Under (RED BALL)
- 10:30 – 12:00 – 10 and Under (ORANGE BALL)

- 3:00 – 4:30 – 16 and Under (REGULAR BALL)
July Singles Tournament
Wednesday July 26th
Tennis juniors are invited to get some competitive play with official scoring for a great opportunity to work on skills in a real match. Open to Orange ball and up players who are registered in lessons or Junior League. Sign up now on Activenet. Starting times will be emailed to participants and posted on Instagram.

Sailing Regatta
Sunday July 23rd
July Regatta is this Sunday! Advance signup is available on Activenet, and we will also have sign-up on the shore at the tank (under the tent). Approximate times for the races are as follows:
Senior Race
- Age: CANsail 3 and up
- Sign up closes at 11:45 am
- First race at 11:00 am
- 2 heats + final race
Family Race
- Age: any and any level
- Sign up closes at 1:15pm
- First race at 12:30pm
- 3 heats
Junior Race
- Age: CANsail 2 and under
- Sign up closes at 2:30pm
- First race at 1:45pm
- 2 heats + final race

Open Race
- Sign up closes at 4:00pm

BINGO
Friday, July 21, 7:30pm (after Footraces)
2023 Bingo is back – bring your toonies, good luck charms and enthusiasm for winning money or mystery prizes. In the park immediately after footraces. The first game will be a big one, get your blankets down early! Fee: $2 per card.
Pentathlon Dates for August
Friday, August 4 & 11
FREE for ages 8 – 12 (must be 8 as of August 31, 2023)
Be prepared to do some running and even getting messy, depending on the surprise theme of the day! Meet at the lifeguard tower right after Footraces. Registration for these will open at 9am on the Monday following each Pentathlon. Registration for August 4 is open now.
Snail River Run (SRR)
Tuesday, July 25th, 5:30pm
The Snail River Run is fast approaching! Race day is Tuesday, July 25th at 5:30pm sharp. This race is completely sold out and currently has a long waitlist – if you did register, and can no longer attend, please email Heather Bitter at barkerbitter@gmail.com and let us know. We want to accommodate as many runners as possible! Also, we still need a lot of volunteers to help run this event. Again, email Heather barkerbitter@gmail.com if you are able to help out. This event takes many volunteers to help it run smooth, and safe. Thank you!
