CBSC Winter Maintenance Program
The CBSC Winter Maintenance program will be running two days a week, Fridays 3:45 to 4:45 pm and Sundays 4:30 to 5:30 pm from October 15th, 2021, to April 29th, 2022, at the Grandview Heights Aquatic Centre.
This program is geared towards all swimmers, artistic swimmers, and water polo players who plan to compete in BCSSA events next summer to keep them in shape over the winter. This is not a Learn to Swim program, swimmers are expected to be able to swim at least 300 meters (12 laps).
The Winter Maintenance program will register with everyone on a waitlist. Please register to show your interest in joining us for the Winter Maintenance Program by registering for the waitlist. Know that although the registration page on Active Network will say “full” in red, 40 spots are available. The 40 spots will be assigned with priority enrolment given to:
- Swimmers who were in the CBSC Competitive Swim Program summer of 2021.
- Swimmers who were in a CBSC Developmental Swim Program summer of 2021.
- Swimmers who were in CBSC Water Polo or Competitive Art Swim Program summer of 2021.
- All other CBSC swimmers who plan to join Comp or Dev Swim in 2022 – minimum age 8 years as of December 31st, 2021, and able to swim 300 metres continuously.
Registration will open on Friday, October 1st at 8pm on ActiveNet, please follow this link to register:
The cost of the program is $300 per swimmer, currently there are 40 spots available in the program. We anticipate that the City of Surrey will increase lane density at some time in the future and we will be able to offer more training spots to those on the waitlist at that time.
All swimmers who are registered in the program are required to have BCSSA coverage before they can participate in the program. The cost is $42 per swimmer and can be purchased by following this link (if your swimmer does not currently have BCSSA please wait to purchase until after registration has been confirmed).
