Week 8
Grateful.
Regardless of the occasional rain and cloudier skies, the last week has been just as special. We almost had rain for the Artistic Swim Show, but thankfully the rain stayed away. It certainly was a magical show that showcased all their hardwork put in over the last month. And tennis has been doing a magic act getting matches in inbetween the showers for tournament week! The last few days are a time to say goodbye until we meet again next summer. So much planning goes into 8 weeks, it’s hard to believe it’s almost over, but not quite. Enjoy the last three days at CBSC!
Also, take a moment today to thank your coaches, a facility crew, a lifeguard, a concession worker or office staff member. We are grateful for all of their enthusiasm and hardwork they have done this summer to help our kids have such an awesome summer. We are also grateful for the countless hours that our board and all of our volunteers have put in over the fall, winter, spring and summer to make our CBSC summer happen. They go above and beyond, and it wouldn’t happen without you!

SAILING
Our CBSC sailors hit the water this past Saturday for the final regatta of the summer! While the wind and tide were slow to cooperate for the senior race, we had great weather and the winds and tides turned for the Junior Race. As always, families battled for first in the family race.
Closer to shore, paddlers raced to the pier and back in both Jr and Sr races.
The day ended with a BBQ and awards galore with heart warming speeches from coaches and the committee. Past sailing chair Dave Erickson came by to present the new Spin & Trap award.
