Week 5 – Summer still going Strong!
Summer is a state of mind, regardless of the weather. Hot sun, rain or wind – it doesn’t stop our CBSC spirit. It’s been a great start to the first week of August lessons.
Sox Box Concession Day by donation on Thursday, August 11
Carrying on from the positive response of the BINGO Night Sox Box Drive, we have organised a special Sox Box Concession Day. Your donations will go towards purchasing supplementary items, especially perishable items and produce in the off-season. Please see attached to learn more about the Sox Box program and how it supports the community!

Water Polo
CBSC swept Regionals on Wednesday with four teams taking top spot: Gold U12, Gold U14, Gold OCat 1, Gold U16. Incredible work by our teams. 👏 Next up, provincials in Kamloops!
Triathlon
The annual CBSC Kids Triathlon is coming up on Sunday August 21st at 8:30am. Registration opens soon and closes August 18th. Check ActiveNet for details and to register!

Tennis Carnival
Wednesday, August 10
The Tennis Carnival for the kids is this Wednesday, August 10th! Come and join the coaches on the courts for an afternoon full of tennis games, fun activities, candy and a chance to win some cool prizes! The fun begins at 2pm and wraps at 4pm.

Tuesday, August 23rd from 6 – 7pm FREE
Calling all kids 7 and under to dress up in your favourite party clothes and join Rhys and a special guest on the tennis courts for “Sally’s Shaker”. Have a great time dancing, then finish with a treat! To help us with our planning, please register through your ActiveNet account by 10am on Monday, August 22.
Snail River Run Tshirts
Pre-ordered tshirts that were not picked up on the night of the Snail River Run are now available for pick up in the clubhouse during regular office hours.
Pentathlon
Friday, August 5
Registration is over for the August 5th Pentathlon. If you are registered, meet at the lifeguard tower right after Foot Races.
Next date is Friday, August 12
FREE for ages 8 – 12 (must be 8 as of August 31, 2021)
MUST BE A STRONG SWIMMER and comfortable swimming in the ocean.
Be prepared to do some ocean swimming, running and even get messy, depending on the theme of the day. Register through your online ActiveNet account starting at 9am on Saturday. Deadline is 2pm on Thursday, August 11.
HELP KEEP OUR CLUB GROUNDS CLEAN
Our beautiful facilities is taken care of by our awesome facilities crew. It is well used and well loved throughout the summer and we take pride in keeping it clean. Please do your part by putting your garbage and recycling in the appropriate bins, and if you happen to see some garbage, please pick it up. Thank you for your help!
