U10, U12 and U14 Water Polo Tournament
Wednesday, July 27
Next Wednesday, July 27th, CBSC will be hosting our annual water polo tournament for teams across the Lower Mainland. Come out and support the seahorses as they compete against some of the best teams in water polo. The coaches have been preparing the athletes to be able to handle up to four games in the one-day tournament. With the great participation numbers in our club, we will be entering more teams in each age level than any other club!
*There will be NO FAMILY SWIM on Wednesday.*
TENNIS
T’was the night after PNO
And much to our surprise
The parents rallied!
Although, many sleepy eyed,
To bring their kids to the courts
Where many matches were played!
All left with ribbons and tales of their day.
Congratulations to all the kids and adults who participated this past Sunday in the Child and Adult Tennis tournament.
Next up: The July Junior Singles Tournament, Wednesday, July 27
This tournament involves competitive play with official scoring and is a great opportunity for players to work on their skills in a real match. This event is a “bracket tournament” that guarantees all players a minimum of two matches. The tournament is open to players who are registered in lessons or in Junior League.
Players will play the colour ball of their lesson. Pre-registration is required on Activenet by Monday, July 25.
Players are allowed one entry and may only register for the category of their lessons. If there are any questions please ask Head Coach Asher.
You can also find more information HERE.
SAILING
July Sailing Regatta
Sunday, July 24
Sailing is excited to offer the July Regatta this year on Sunday, July 24th. Put your sailing and paddling skills to the test and race against your fellow members. Below is a list of the different races you can sign up for. These races are open to all abilities as long as the prerequisites are met. We are offering online registration through your ActiveNet account. Registration is open until 9pm Friday, July 22nd. If capacity allows it, we will be allowing members to register for races on Sunday up to 15 minutes before their race. The same day registration and check-in table will be located by the sailing pick up spot beside the tank.
If you are racing with more than one person, only one person needs to register the “team” and they must meet the prerequisites (age, skill level and must be members). Please wear your wristbands to the Regatta.
We hope to see you at the Regatta this Sunday! Please feel free to shoot us an email (hcsailing@cbswimclub.ca) if you have any questions at all!
