Triathlon 2010
Crescent Beach Triathlon Program
The CBSC Triathlon program is a great way for kids to stay fit and have fun while training for the end of the summer triathlon. Participants will train the four days under the direction of CBSC coaches Gillian, Michelle, Louis and Cam.
This year, training will be geared towards participation in the CBSC Kids Triathlon taking place on Saturday August 14th; we are very excited that it will be taking place in our own Crescent Beach.
Triathlons involve participation in three sports: swimming, biking and running. The 9-11 year olds will train from 10am-11am and the 12-15 year olds from 11am-12pm.

Many kids find triathlon to be a great way to meet new friends and have fun while being challenged to reach new heights and burn off any extra energy they might have.
The highest priority during the training sessions will be the safety of the participants. The four coaches are there to ensure that there is a properly marked route, radio contact, availability of first aid, accident prevention, etc. Participants must be capable bike riders and it is recommended that they have an adequate wide-tire bike with which to train. Helmets are mandatory; forgetting to bring one will mean that the participant must sit out of training for the day.
This year, on swim days, all athletes, including competitive swimmers, will participate.
Fee is $70 per month.
Please talk to Gillian if you have any questions about the program.
